10 Best Resorts in Cabo San Lucas for Adults: Grown-Up Fun!

We’ve spent so much time in the Baja California Peninsula in Mexico, specifically Los Cabos, that we feel like honorary locals.

With sand in our… suitcases (good guess!) and sunscreen as our signature scent, we’ve explored every nook and cranny, all the things to do, even the 5-star hotels, so we could share it all with you.

But you’re here looking for the best resorts in Cabo San Lucas for adults, not just 5-star hotels.

Don’t get us wrong, we’re not against kids. We have one of our own! But sometimes, you want to leave them behind. And if you don’t have children, going to a resort packed with them may feel like the opposite of a holiday.

That’s where this guide about the best Los Cabos adults-only resorts comes in.

But to take it one step further, sometimes you don’t want to think or plan on vacation. Enter Cabo’s all-inclusive adults-only hotels. No thinking, just chilling and pampering.

Other times, you want to leave the hotel and explore the town, the restaurants and the activities. You still want the adults-only vibe, but without the all-inclusive package.

With that in mind, we’ve written about both categories of resorts. So, grab a margarita and get ready to start planning your grown-up vacation!

Best resorts in Cabo San Lucas for adults

We’ve personally stayed at most of these resorts.

If we couldn’t stay overnight, we spent the day “inspecting” them (as media) at the invitation of the resort’s public relations manager. We’d look at a couple of rooms, stay for a meal, spend time at the pool and get to know the hotel’s services. (We take our hotel inspecting job seriously!)

So, you can trust our recommendations for the best adults-only resorts in Cabo.

Oh, and we should note, we use Los Cabos, Cabo and Cabo San Lucas interchangeably here and are referring to the entire Los Cabos resort area.

Best adults-only hotels in Cabo: Rate guide

Here’s roughly what the following resorts cost per room (in USD) for a night in the winter high season:

  • Under $500 = $
  • $500 to 750 = $$
  • $750 to 1,000 $500 = $$$
  • Over $1,000 = $$$$

1) Grand Velas Boutique Los Cabos

Grand Velas Boutique Cabo
Say hello to the brand new Grand Velas Boutique Los Cabos! (Credit: Grand Velas)

We’re starting our list of the best adults-only hotels in Los Cabos with the Grand Velas Boutique Hotel, because we know and love the Grand Velas brand.

We stayed at the Los Cabos Grand Velas, the sister property, and didn’t think it could get much better. Like, they offer a $25,000 taco with edible gold!

So, when they came out with an even more luxurious all-inclusive hotel, we were all in. In the name of research, of course.

This property has 79 luxury suites and a private beach with Balinese sunbeds to laze away the day. Or you might prefer the infinity pool that blends seamlessly with the Sea of Cortez.

But no matter where you relax, the extraordinary service will blow your mind.

Grand Velas Boutique Los Cabos

  • Best for: Couples who crave extra indulgence during their all-inclusive vacation (and don’t mind paying for the best of the best)
  • Booking.com rating: Too new for reviews!
  • Tripadvisor rating: 5 out of 5 stars

2) The Towers at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf & Spa

Pueblo Bonito Pacifica is where we first broke our vow not to stay in an all-inclusive in Cabo. And we’re so glad we did!

Up until the Pacifica, we thought all-inclusives in Cabo were synonymous with low-quality, overcrowded, schlocky hotels full of spring breakers getting drunk all day long.

Wow, were we wrong.

It’s hard to say what we loved most about our stay at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica

Maybe it was the overall casual yet sophisticated atmosphere. Or maybe it was the Pacific Ocean views from the balcony that were impossible to ignore.

We’ve since seen the VIP Towers section at the resort. It’s definitely worth the upgrade!

The lavishly appointed accommodations in the Towers come with around-the-clock butler service.

Even the most basic Towers rooms exude luxury, with indigenous woods against a soothing neutral backdrop. Some have a private plunge pool on their terrace too.

Access to a private oceanfront VIP lounge to watch for whales as they migrate down the Pacific Coast doesn’t hurt either.

After a round of golf on the acclaimed Jack Nicklaus Signature Course at Quivira Golf Club, unwind with an afternoon at the spa – an ideal finale to a day of leisure.

The Pacifica (and more specifically, the Towers) started our love affair with adults-only all-inclusive Cabo resorts, but it didn’t end there.

The Towers at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf & Spa

  • Best for: Couples who only want to lift a finger to bring a snifter of tequila to their lips (particularly couples who love golf)
  • Booking.com rating: 9.4 out of 10
  • Tripadvisor rating: 5 out of 5
  • Cost: $$$ to $$$$

3) Hotel El Ganzo

Marina views from Hotel El Ganzo
We love the interesting marina views from Hotel El Ganzo

We kind of have a super-crush on Hotel El Ganzo.

We’ve stayed here three times, and it never disappoints – it’s one of our favorite adults-only hotels in Cabo.

El Ganzo is cool. Like, beatnik cool. It’s hands down one of the freshest boutique hotels in Cabo.

It’s not all-inclusive, though. But you won’t care when you step into one of the 72 mod rooms exuding artsy flair.

People go to El Ganzo just for the art scene. Think live art installations, a nearby sculpture garden, a recording studio on-site and live tunes setting the vibe.

Additionally, it’s just a free 5-minute water taxi ride away from one of the area’s top beaches.

Hang out at its boho-chic beach club. Then hit the hotel’s rooftop infinity pool and glass hot tub, offering a front-row seat to Cabo’s legendary pink sunsets.

Hotel El Ganzo

  • Best for: People looking for a reasonably-priced, adults-only Los Cabos hotel, without the all-inclusive commitment (and one with access to a great beach!)
  • Booking.com rating: 8.9 out of 10
  • Tripadvisor rating: 4.5 out of 5
  • Cost: $

4) Marquis Los Cabos

Marquis Los Cabos is one of the best adults-only resorts in Los Cabos
Say hello to this sophisticated oasis for adults! (Credit: Marquis Los Marquis)

The Marquis Los Cabos is the epitome of modern elegance, where every detail is crafted to perfection.

Like El Ganzo (#3 above), the art on display takes center stage, showcasing pieces from the best Latin American artists. Its only rival is the glittering Sea of Cortez.

Sipping cocktails by one of the three winding beachfront pools will make you forget you’re not on a swimmable beach.

All 234 roomy suites in this adult all-inclusive Cabo haven feature chic contemporary décor, with rustic terra cotta accents adding a cozy touch. They offer balconies with sea views and opulent L’Occitane bath amenities.

For the ultimate indulgence – and why shouldn’t you indulge? – splurge on one of the 25 casitas with a private plunge pool overlooking the sea. It’s the perfect spot for some late-night stargazing or a skinny dip under the twinkling stars.

And let’s talk about dining.

Prepare your taste buds for a journey with five restaurants serving everything from mouth-watering Mexican fare to delectable sushi, plus a deli-café for your caffeine fix. When we stayed here, we found the food to be very good!

Marquis Los Cabos

  • Best for: Couples who adore distinctive design touches and are searching for an upscale and tranquil all-inclusive retreat

5) Secrets Puerto Los Cabos

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos: A red-roof-topped oasis amid emerald golf greens and azure pools

Secrets properties are known for their destination weddings and honeymoons, and they have quite a lively vibe.

So this Cabo adults only all-inclusive isn’t for you if you’re looking for a quiet atmosphere. (Consider The Towers at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica, #2, Marquis Los Cabos, #4, or Le Blanc, #7, for that.)

Since you’re celebrating, Secrets will pamper you. And their “Unlimited-Luxury” concept means everything is included. No more paying extra for top-shelf drinks or daily activities. It’s all included.

All the rooms and suites at Secrets Puerto Los Cabos are modern with a Mexican flair. They each have a soaking tub, 24-hour room service, 24-hour concierge service and an outdoor patio, balcony or terrace.

Even the smallest room is 560 square feet, so there’s plenty of space should you choose to stay inside. But with eight restaurants, four bars and a 13,000-square-foot spa, you’ve got some exploring to do.

If you get antsy from all that pampering, there are two 9-hole golf courses, a well-equipped fitness center, tequila tastings, cooking classes and outdoor movie nights on the beach.

If you want something a little more luxe and private, opt for a suite in the Preferred Club. Some large suites have direct swim-out access to the pool, so you can go from your bed to the pool in five tip-toes.

The Club Level also provides access to a more intimate infinity pool, hot tub and daily hors d’oeuvres.

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos

  • Best for: Honeymooners and lovers who want a lively yet romantic getaway, with a heavy dose of all-inclusive pampering

Every one of the 169 beautifully appointed modern rooms at Breathless Cabo San Lucas has a stunning marina view.

It’s the ideal all-inclusive Cabo adults-only hotel for the under-45 set.

Between dips in the two infinity pools and Medano Beach, you have 12 restaurants and an award-winning rooftop lounge to enjoy.

Breathless Cabo is all about being, well, breathless.

Breathless from the views. Breathless from the day’s activities. Breathless from the DJ pool parties. Or breathless because you over-ate and can’t breathe!

No matter why you’re breathless, this property is the perfect fusion of party and pamper. 24-Hour room service? Do it. Burlesque show? Yes, please. Tequila tasting? Why not. Spa day? Oh, heck yeah!

If you’re feeling stir-crazy, the location couldn’t be better.

Take a snorkeling trip from the marina, or just wander around and gaze at the gazillion-dollar yachts. There is quite a lot to do in the marina, which is just outside the resort’s doorstep.

Breathless Cabo San Lucas

  • Best for: As one of the most fun Cabo resorts for adults, it’s perfect for friends, groups or couples who like being super social on their vacation (the resort is more “party holiday” than most others on this list)
  • Booking.com rating: 8.4 out of 10
  • Tripadvisor rating: 4.5 out of 5
  • Cost: $$

7) Le Blanc Spa Resort

Pool at Le Blanc Spa Resort in Los Cabos
With eight restaurants, there’s no way you’ll get bored of the food at Le Blanc Spa Resort!

Maybe the all-night party scene isn’t your style. You’re more about savoring the finer things in life. And you’d love an adults-only oasis where every wish is just a butler’s whisper away.

We hear you!

Tucked away along the Corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, you’ll find one of the best Cabo resorts for couples that’s all-inclusive – one you’ll think was built for the two of you.

Welcome to Le Blanc Spa Resort, where 369 white-on-white rooms have stunning ocean views. Bathrooms with free-standing soaker tubs come with Bulgari amenities.

Dining goes way beyond the standard all-inclusive fare.

Eight onsite eateries range from a steakhouse to restos serving exotic Lebanese delicacies and classic French cuisine. And if you want a glass (or three!) of premium champagne at dinner, just ask. After all, everything is included.

Its award-winning spa offers a fabulous free hydrotherapy circuit, where saunas, steam and soaks await. Get pampered with cucumber eye slices, cinnamon towelettes and a scalp massage on a warm lounger. And, yes, we said “free” (though spa treatments cost extra).

It doesn’t end there. You can do Pilates, yoga and aqua spinning (included). Or you could nothing by the infinity pool.

Our first-hand experience touring the resort with Le Blanc’s public relations manager left us impressed, feeling every bit like discerning hotel inspectors.

Le Blanc Spa Resort

  • Best for: People who desire impeccable service without a hint of pretentiousness (and if you’re of a better age, you’ll feel better here than at #6 or #10)
  • Booking.com rating: 9.1 out of 10
  • Tripadvisor rating: 5 out of 5 stars
  • Cost: $$$$

8) The Cape, a Thompson Hotel

Fronting a surfing beach in Los Cabos, The Cape is a cool boutique hotel.

The Cape, a Thompson Hotel is one of those sleek 5-star hotels that is more edgy-luxe than old-school luxury hotels.

We had a great stay here.

Indeed, we know of at least 7 reasons why you’ll love it too! For one, they give you a hand-etched crystal bottle of their own tequila upon arrival – not a bad way to start.

The Cape is cool. The kind of cool where your all-black outdoor terrace has a hanging daybed. The kind of hip where your room comes with a free-standing copper soaking tub and kimono robes.

All 161 rooms and suites have unending views of the iconic El Arco (Cabo’s famous natural rock arch) and the rugged coastline.

Sultry sophistication meets a mid-century Latin American aesthetic in a beautiful mashup that might tempt you to get room service. Or stay in the copper tub drinking bubbly while watching the sunset behind El Arco.

But Manta, the luscious seafood restaurant dreamed up by chef Enrique Olvera, will lure you away from the custom sateen-woven linens and in-room craft cocktail bar.

This isn’t an all-inclusive or strictly adults-only hotel.

But the property has a very adult vibe that doesn’t cater to children. (It’s also pet friendly for well-behaved pooches.) And it’s one of the best Cabo hotels for adults that isn’t all-inclusive.

It’s a really good choice if style is equally as important as substance in your hotel choice – and you want an affordable luxury hotel.

The Cape, a Thompson Hotel

  • Best for: Couples looking beyond the norm for a stylish, edgy concept hotel, with views for days
  • Booking.com rating: 9.3 out of 10
  • Tripadvisor rating: 5 out of 5
  • Cost: $$
  • Check rates and availability

If staying on a swimmable beach in Cabo is a must, even though it’s rare, Paradisus Los Cabos is your, erm… paradise.

This hotel stands out for its dedication to making sure you experience the essence of Cabo. Their “Destination Inclusive” concept aims to fully immerse you in the local nature and culture.

The standard rooms at this Los Cabos all-inclusive adults-only beach resort are fantastic.

But book a room in the Reserve, and you’ll get the royal treatment – starting with an oversized suite with aromatherapy service at turndown. You’ll also have exclusive access to special amenities, restaurants, a private concierge, a heated pool and secluded areas in the resort.

Additionally, you’ll get private cooking classes with a chef, workshops with local artisans and a sojourn to the top of a canyon for a private yoga class.

The Hotel Riu Palace Baja California is a ginormous 600-room resort, but don’t let that put you off.

Its unbeatable location directly on Medano Beach ensures you’re right in the heart of the action should you want to leave the hotel.

Not that you need to with around-the-clock room service, daily entertainment, four expansive pools (two with swim-up bars) and a pickleball court, just for starters.

The Hotel Riu Palace Baja California's pool has a swim-up bar and blue tiled in-pool lounge beds.

Then there’s the gym, Renova Spa and more restaurants than you’ll have time to taste test.

All the spacious suites have separate sitting areas, free-standing tubs and private balconies or terraces to watch for whales (in winter).

With its young fun vibe (and lower price point), this Riu resort is definitely one of the most fun all-inclusive resorts in Cabo for young adults!
