- For families who want space: ➡️ Eden Roc Cap Cana (DR) – Pool-and-kitchen villas in a posh resort village, kids’ club included. (See #7)
Why trust our picks?
We’re award-winning luxury travel writers who’ve explored the Caribbean together for over two decades. Our recommendations blend first-hand experience with in-depth research – cross-checking room types, pool privacy, service quality and real guest reviews.
We also publish detailed guides on luxury stays across the region – from boutique digs in chic French St. Martin to those “book-me-now!” Caribbean overwater bungalows.
We know which resorts truly deliver “private-pool bliss.”
Ratings below are from Expedia (out of 10). For the one hotel not on Expedia, we’ve shown its TripAdvisor 5-point rating instead.
1) Ladera Resort – St. Lucia

After getting engaged in Barbados, we continued our celebration in the lush paradise of St. Lucia.
With its dramatic volcanic peaks, dense rainforests and rainbow-bright coral reefs, this magical island radiates romance!
We stayed at the adults-only Ladera Resort. Perched 1,000 feet high on the volcanic ridge between St. Lucia’s iconic Piton mountains, it overlooks the turquoise Caribbean Sea below.
Over the years, Ladera has been lovingly maintained, and the awards keep rolling in.
It recently earned one MICHELIN Key for 2025, was named “Saint Lucia’s Leading Honeymoon Resort” for 2025 in the “World Travel Awards,” and scored a coveted spot among the “Top 25 Resorts in the Caribbean, Bermuda and the Bahamas” in the “World’s Best Awards” (2025) from Travel+Leisure.
Wow suites
This eco-lodge, crafted from Caribbean timber, local stone and terra-cotta tiles, oozes rustic eco-chic vibes.
Each suite is different. But all have to-die-for bathrooms and their own heated plunge pools.
And when you want to trade your pool for the sea, Sugar Beach is just a five-minute shuttle ride away.
What makes this hotel truly unforgettable?
The open-walled rooms! One side has no wall and is completely open to the outside.
It’s like luxury glamping with breathtaking views right from your bed – we’d wake each morning to the magical sight of the sky-piercing Pitons.
(And nope, there are no TVs to distract from the view.)

- Rating: 9.6 out of 10
- Style: Romantic open-air eco-luxury

2) Hotel Le Toiny – St. Barts

We adore the French-chic island of St. Barts – a stylish paradise with beautiful beaches, like Shell Beach, where we’ve blissfully spent lazy days on past visits.
On St. Barts, you’ll find Hotel Le Toiny, easily one of the finest resorts with private pools in the Caribbean (and, yes, its exclusivity comes with a price tag to match).
Deluxe villa suites
This secluded Relais & Chateaux retreat sits on 42 acres of scrubby bushland overlooking Toiny Bay.
It offers 22 villa suites, each with its own infinity pool and sun-drenched terrace.
Recently redesigned, they exude modern island elegance with blond timber floors, airy vaulted ceilings, kitchenettes (for chilling your rosé wine and French cheeses, of course!), driftwood accents and spacious stone-clad bathrooms.
A beach club with a hidden-cove vibe
Now, you may be tempted to hang out by your private pool, but wait till you see the hotel’s virtually private beach.
Hop in a Land Rover shuttle for a quick ride (or walk) down to the palm-fringed cove of soft sand, where the Toiny Beach Club awaits.
Enjoy chilled-out dining, cocktails and spotting sea turtles and hermit crabs. There’s even a beachfront swimming pool here for refreshing dips.
Hotel Le Toiny
- Rating: 9.8 out of 10
- Style: French-chic island glamour with ultra-private pool suites
- Compare rates: On Expedia and on Booking.com
3) Zemi Beach House – Anguilla

Anguilla is another go-to Caribbean island for a chic sun-soaked escape – but minus the St. Barts price tag. (It’s more exclusive than nearby St. Martin/St. Maarten, though.)
The serene side of luxe
Nestled on Shoal Bay’s stunning white sand beach, Zemi Beach House offers tranquility amid lush gardens. Part of Hilton’s LXR Hotels & Resorts, it nails that contemporary Caribbean style, with touches of teal against dark wood and white-washed exteriors.
Rooms and suites are seriously spacious, starting at 700 square feet and soaring up to a palatial 2,800 square feet. Many have private pools.
Want a different view? The hotel’s two main pools – one an adults-only infinity pool – will tempt you with their complimentary cabanas.
Oooh, we love the luxury spa!
Be sure to book a treatment at the hotel’s Thai House Spa. It was built partly from a 307-year-old Thai house that was shipped and reassembled on-site.
It even has a hammam, the first of its kind in the Caribbean!
Zemi Beach House
- Rating: 9.6 out of 10
- Style: Contemporary Caribbean elegance with a Zen twist

4) Hammock Cove – Antigua

Hammock Cove Antigua is pure grown-up, toes-in-the-water bliss.
This chic all-inclusive hideaway is designed for couples who like their luxury with a whisper, not a megaphone. The second you arrive, you’re handed a rum punch and escorted to your villa to check in.
Pick your perfect pool suite
Coral-clad, with vaulted ceilings and a breezy 1,080 square feet, each villa comes with a king bed facing your private lanai and private plunge pool.
- Waterfront Villas – For front-row turquoise views (and an infinity plunge pool)
- Waterview Villas – For a higher-up view
- Signature Villas – For dialed-up indulgence (with 1,490 square feet of space and an oversized plunge pool)
À la carte dining
Meals are all à la carte – no buffets. Just steakhouse dinners, open-air bistro bites, Lighthouse’s gourmet dining (Caribbean lobster too!) and beachside sandwiches delivered right to your lounger.
Days unfold deliciously slowly
Rotate between your beach lounger, pool (with no rah-rah entertainment), the sea and your private pool. Repeat.
Honeymooners? Plenty. Noise? No.
It’s one of those places where you’ll happily ditch your phone!
Hammock Cove Antigua
- Rating: 9.8 out of 10
- Style: Tranquil adults-only indulgence

5) Sandals Grande St. Lucian – St. Lucia

Given St. Lucia’s stunning beauty, it’s no surprise the Sandals couples’ resort group couldn’t resist staking their claim here.
Sandals Grande St. Lucian calls the island home. And like Hammock Cove (#4), it also ranks as one of the best Caribbean all-inclusive resorts with private plunge pools.
Private pool sanctuaries for two
Their Grande Rondoval Butler Suites are a slice of secluded heaven. Whether you’re eyeing a beachfront, ocean or garden view, these gorgeous round suites have it all – veranda, hammock, outdoor shower, jacuzzi and, of course, your very own private plunge pool.
Inside, you have a four-poster king bed, spa-like bathroom and chic furnishings.
Bonus: Three resorts in one
There’s complimentary shuttle service both to and from Sandals Regency LaToc and Sandals Halcyon Beach.
And because it’s Sandals, the inclusions stack up fast – butler service, 24-hour room service, five grand pools, 12 specialty restaurants, championship golf and endless water sports (from scuba diving to wakeboarding).
Little wonder it’s praised as one of the top Sandals resorts!
Sandals Grande St. Lucian
- Rating: 8.6 out of 10
- Style: Beautiful all-inclusive beachfront luxury
- Compare rates: On Expedia and on Booking.com
6) The Hideout – British Virgin Islands

The Hideout is a relatively new seven-villa oasis on teeny-tiny Jost Van Dyke (population 300) in the British Virgin Islands.
Tucked away on the powdery sands of White Bay Beach, this hidden gem is one of the most secluded Caribbean hotels with private pools.
That’s partly because you can only get to Jost Van Dyke by private plane or boat (whether chartering your own or catching a ferry from nearby islands like Tortola or St. Thomas).
It sees far fewer visitors than other Caribbean islands. And when the day-trippers leave, it’s just you, the whispering waves and the feeling that you’ve got the whole island to yourself.
Cozy island villas with private pools
As for The Hideout itself (aptly named!), its one-bedroom villas with a kitchenette are perfect for couples seeking the ultimate romantic getaway.
Families, on the other hand, will feel right at home in the two-bedroom villas, which feature full kitchens and 1,300 square feet of living space.
Naturally, all thatched-roof villas come with their own private pool.
Hidden, yet near buzzy bars
And don’t worry – your Robinson Crusoe experience still comes with a side of civilization!
The on-site Hendo’s Hideout restaurant is an island favorite, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, along with villa room service.
And just a sandy stroll away, you’ll find local beach bars and restaurants, including the Soggy Dollar Bar, where the legendary Painkiller cocktail was invented.
The Hideout
- Rating: 5 out of 5 (on TripAdvisor)

7) Eden Roc Cap Cana – Dominican Republic

Say hello to one of the finest 5-star Caribbean resorts with uber-deluxe private pool villas – Eden Roc Cap Cana!
It scooped up not one but two MICHELIN Keys in 2025. It was also crowned the #1 resort in the Caribbean islands in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2024 “Readers’ Choice Awards” (landing at #9 in 2025). That tells you something.
Located in the posh Cap Cana community at the eastern tip of the Dominican Republic, Eden Roc feels more like a seaside village than your typical resort.
Surrounded by lush tropical greenery, its 67 accommodations range from beachfront suites and villas to super-splurge residences.
They’re delightfully eclectic – Spanish colonial style for some and beachy thatched-roof design for others. Except for the beachfront suites, all have private pools.
And let’s not forget details like outdoor showers, butler service and bath amenities by Acqua di Parma.
You won’t get bored
There’s so much to do here, what with:
- A Jack Nicklaus signature golf course
- Scuba diving lessons and mountain biking
- The uncrowded beach with daybeds and a beach bar
- Its world-class spa
- A complimentary kids’ club (which has its own mini-spa!)
- All the restaurants and bars
Get around in a golf cart
How fun is this? You get a complimentary electric golf cart during your stay (unless you’re in the main building) to tootle around the expansive resort.
Eden Roc Cap Cana
- Rating: 9.6 out of 10
- Style: Eclectic villa luxury in a posh village-like enclave
- Compare rates: On Expedia and on TripAdvisor
8) Secret Bay – Dominica

We could list all the endless adventures and go on about the amazing treehouse-style villas at Secret Bay. But at its heart, this eco-Caribbean private pool resort in Dominica is a nature lover’s paradise.
Clinging to a lush hillside, its 23 secluded villas – complete with private plunge pools, of course – feature indoor-outdoor living, with state-of-the-art kitchens.
Crafted from sustainably sourced tropical hardwoods, they’re wrapped in floor-to-ceiling windows. And those rainforest and ocean views are nothing short of awesome.
Activities galore
Yes, you can bask under the Caribbean sun on Tibay Beach at the foot of Secret Bay. Or take Caribbean cooking classes.
And for sure you’ll savor fresh locally-inspired cuisine at the resort’s Zing Zing open-air restaurant (no menu here, just the chef whipping up whatever’s fresh that day).
But the real magic of Secret Bay? Getting back to nature:
- Borrow gear from the sports hut and go sea kayaking, snorkeling and stand-up paddleboarding
- Take a boat trip past sea caves
- Spot parrots while birdwatching
- Saddle up for a horseback ride to waterfalls
- Hike along lush trails
- Check out Dominica’s unique cold sulfur springs
What’s wow?
Secret Bay has its own super cool ride – the Caribbean’s longest funicular! Stretching 300 feet through coastal jungle, it takes you from the sandy shores of Tibay Beach to different parts of the resort.
Who knew getting around could be this much fun?
Secret Bay
- Rating: 9.6 out of 10
- Style: Eco-deluxe treehouse living for nature-first travelers
- Compare rates: On Expedia and on Booking.com
We’ve included it in our list of top hotels in the Caribbean with private pools not because it’s fancy. It’s actually a little rustic.
But if you want a chilled all-inclusive beach getaway with private pool rooms – minus the sky-high price tag – Keyonna Beach hits the sweet spot.
Located on the southwest coast of Antigua, it fronts Turners Beach, a quiet 1,000-foot-long white sand beach, lapped by clear turquoise waters.
Pool cottages for unplugging
Most accommodations are pool cottages, with private pools and four-poster beds.
Our pick? The Beachfront Sanctuary Pool Cottages.
They each offer 1,200 square feet of space – including a dual-head outdoor rain shower plus a sundrenched deck with a private plunge pool, sun loungers, an umbrella, Adirondack chairs and even a hammock for swaying in the breeze.
Just off the pool deck, you have your own secluded garden path leading to the beach.
Relax, baby, relax
There’s not a whole lot to do at Keyonna Beach – and that’s exactly the point. Couples come here to relax.
Limber up with a yoga session, maybe paddle a kayak in the sea, unwind at the spa and snooze by the beach or pool. After a week here, you’ll be ready to face the outside world again!
Keyonna Beach
- Rating: 9.6 out of 10
- Style: Laid-back island romance with rustic barefoot charm
- Compare rates: On Expedia and on Booking.com
10) Jade Mountain Resort – St. Lucia

There’s no shortage of jaw-dropping St. Lucia resorts with private pools. But Jade Mountain? It’s like Ladera Resort (see #1) on steroids.
Perched on a cliff high above the sea, this architectural gem delivers cinematic views of the Pitons from every angle.
Suites worth swooning over
Jade Mountain has 29 romantic suites called “sanctuaries” (their word, and it fits).
Each is reached by its own bridge, and 24 have private infinity pools. And like Ladera Resort, they blur the line between indoors and out, with a fourth open wall, so your living room flows straight into that Piton panorama.
Go skinny dipping when you like – only the hummingbirds can see you! Sip champagne in your pool. And lose yourself in the stunning ocean views at this unique adults-only retreat.
Double the perks (with sister hotel access)
Staying at Jade Mountain also unlocks full privileges at its beachside sister resort, Anse Chastanet, just a quick shuttle ride down the hill.
At Anse Chastanet, you can hike 12 miles of scenic trails, go scuba diving with their PADI 5-star dive center team or unwind on two sandy beaches, complete with thatched huts and beach butlers.
