With its turquoise waters, picturesque villages and scenic hiking trails, Mallorca offers lots to do and has easily become a favorite spot on our travel map.
We were so smitten on our first visit that we returned for more – this time staying three weeks and checking into even more fabulous hotels along the way.
Choosing where to stay can be tricky, though, as the island offers such a variety of settings.
In our experience, the ideal Mallorca itinerary blends the rugged beauty of the west coast (Soller is our favorite) with the laid-back coastal charm of the southeast near Santanyi. (Prefer sandy beaches? Swap in Puerto Pollensa instead.) And you can’t skip Palma de Mallorca – especially if it’s your first time.
Below, you’ll find our curated picks for the 20 finest luxury stays in Mallorca – from stylish city digs in Palma to beachfront escapes and secluded fincas (rural estates) in the mountains.
Quick answer? Best luxury Mallorca hotels
- Palma de Mallorca – Hotel Can Bordoy (moody boutique Old Town hotel with a leafy courtyard and two splash pools)
- Soller – Finca Ca’s Curial (upscale countryside finca with rustic charm and mountain views)
- Deia – Hotel Es Moli (charming digs with a fabulous private beach cove)
- Port Alcudia – Grupotel Parc Natural & Spa (polished beachfront resort with lots of activities)
- Porto Pollensa – Hotel Illa D’Or (classic seafront elegance)
- Southeast Mallorca – Can Ferrereta (hip escape in Santanyi)
- Northeast Mallorca – Pleta de Mar, Luxury Hotel by Nature (sleek adult-only retreat)
Hot tip: Book a finca stay
If you’re staying in a couple of places on the island, make sure one of them is a finca.
These traditional Mallorcan farmhouses – now charming boutique inns – are scattered across the island and full of character.
Whether rustic or luxurious (think pools, casitas and 300-thread-count linens), they offer a peaceful countryside escape you simply won’t get at a regular hotel.

Best luxury hotels in Palma de Mallorca

With historic sights at your fingertips, Palma’s Old Town is our favorite area to stay in the island’s capital – especially if it’s your first visit.
That said, Palma has several appealing neighborhoods (we’ve stayed in a few ourselves). We share more in our guide on where to stay in Palma de Mallorca.
For now, here’s a quick peek at five of Palma’s top hotels.
- Petit Palace Hotel Tres – We stayed here on our first trip to Mallorca and loved the central Old Town location, stylish boutique vibe and rooftop terrace with a splash pool and city views.
- Hotel Can Bordoy – This 5-star Old Town beauty became our base on a later visit, winning us over with its 1940s Hollywood glam, atmospheric suites, two intimate pools and indulgent all-day breakfast.
- Castillo Hotel Son Vida – Set in a restored 13th-century castle just outside Palma, this grand hotel delivers a full-on luxe escape with elegant rooms, a gorgeous pool and easy access to top golf courses. (We stayed here before flying home on one trip).
- El Llorenc Parc de la Mar – Fancy an adults-only boutique hotel, with a rooftop pool and terrace serving up knockout views over Palma Bay? El Llorenc is your place, where Moorish-inspired design meets modern flair.
- Can Cera – Catering to discerning adults, this exquisite hotel features antique-filled rooms, a wood-paneled library, a rooftop terrace and bespoke concierge services.
Best luxury hotels in Soller and Port Soller
Finca Ca’s Curial

A 15-minute walk from the heart of Soller, Finca Ca’s Curial is a bit of a hidden countryside retreat.
We stayed here on our most recent trip – and couldn’t have been happier! This family-owned estate blends rustic Mallorcan charm with just the right touch of modern comfort.
Rooms and suites
Rooms are spread across several honey-colored stone buildings, and each is unique.
We stayed in a Superior Double with a Garden Terrace – with a king bed, a cozy sitting area, terracotta floors and wood-beamed ceilings. Outside, our shaded terrace (complete with rattan chairs) overlooked peaceful gardens.
Beyond the room

The Serra de Tramuntana – a UNESCO World Heritage Site made for hiking and soaking up Mallorca’s wild side – is right on the doorstep.
Each morning, bountiful breakfasts set us up for long days hiking in these mountains.
And when we returned hot and sweaty from our day’s hike, we’d make a beeline for the large pool. Surrounded by Bali-style day beds, it’s set in gardens brimming with orange and lemon trees. (The wandering roosters, crowing in the late afternoon, were also comical to watch.)

Why stay at Finca Ca’s Curial?
Good-value upscale Mallorca accommodation in the countryside doesn’t get much better than this! The onsite owner/managers go out of their way to help – especially with hiking tips and local recommendations.
Ca’n Roses

Tucked down a quiet lane just minutes from Soller’s main square, Ca’n Roses is a small boutique stay with serious personality.
Once an olive oil mill, it’s been lovingly transformed into an elegant design-forward hotel. Every corner reflects the artistic eye of its photographer founder, with her daughters now running the show and keeping the experience warm and welcoming.
Rooms and suites
There are just eight rooms, with features like four-poster beds, stone fireplaces and large windows framing the Tramuntana mountains. Some rooms have sunny terraces or balconies big enough for loungers.
Skip the too-small Standard Double Room though (storage is tight) and go for a larger option. We like the Suite with Terrace – it has a spacious outdoor area for enjoying the peaceful garden setting.
Beyond the room
There’s a lovely outdoor pool that gets sun most of the day, plus a small wellness area with a hot tub.
Why stay at Ca’n Roses?
For a stylish, intimate boutique hotel just steps from Soller’s center – with character and gorgeous mountain views – this is a gem.
Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa

Perched high above Port de Soller, the Jumeirah Port Soller is one of the top luxury resorts in Mallorca for couples and families.
Rooms and suites
All of the 121 guest rooms have terraces or balconies with views of either the Mediterranean Sea or the mountains.
Beyond the room

There’s plenty to keep you happily busy.
Concierges can arrange everything from bike rentals and guided tours to sunset boat trips and even helicopter rides.
The infinity pool (for adults and kids 12+) is a standout – while a separate family pool caters to all ages. There’s also a full-service spa, gym and a beautiful outdoor heated hydro-pool overlooking the mountains.
For a change of scene, stroll 20 minutes (or take the free hotel shuttle) down to oh-so-picturesque Port de Soller to swim at a sandy beach and enjoy a fresh seafood lunch.
You can also hop on the vintage tram to Soller town (about 2½ miles away) for gardens, museums and a wander.
Why stay at Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel?
For a luxury Mallorca stay with knockout views and endless things to do, this 5-star resort ticks all the boxes – especially if you want a mix of relaxation and adventure.
Wonderful luxury hotels in Deia
Belmond La Residencia

Perhaps the most iconic 5-star hotel in Mallorca, Belmond La Residencia is tucked into 30 acres of citrus and olive groves in the artistic village of Deia. Writers and artists have long been drawn here – including Robert Graves, who lived in Deia for decades.
Rooms and suites

Designed to complement the surrounding village, this lovely hotel has some 70 air-conditioned rooms and suites, clustered within four stone buildings. Two are ivy-clad manor houses, dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries, set around a large inviting pool.
Persian carpets add warmth to red stone floors, and original oil paintings adorn the walls.
For a splurge, the exclusive Designer Suite by Matthew Williamson wows – it includes a spectacular private pool suite with stunning mountain views.

We loved the thoughtful touches here. Fresh-cut flowers are delivered to your room after check-in, and turndown chocolates come in mesh jewelry bags.
But for all its splendor, La Residencia isn’t stuffy – a yellow rubber duck greeted us in the bathtub!
Beyond the room

This is where it gets fun. Think donkey walks into the hills for a rustic picnic, dips at the tucked-away cove of Cala Deia and long lazy afternoons by the pool. Dinner at El Olivo is a must.
Why stay at the Belmond La Residencia?
It’s romantic, gracious without being pompous, and one of our all-time favorite hotels in the world.
Hotel Es Moli

This family-run 4-star boutique hotel has evolved over the years – and built up a loyal following of repeat guests thanks to its warm attentive service.
Rooms and suites

The 87 rooms are comfortable, if a little dated.
Some have quirky layouts – we even had to crawl through window-cum-doors to reach our terrace with loungers and a table.
A refresh is likely on the horizon, as the hotel was sold in 2025, with plans to elevate Hotel Es Moli into a more luxurious stay.
Beyond your room
A 15-minute scenic walk along a wooden boardwalk takes you to quaint Deia town.
Back at the hotel, there’s a large outdoor pool set among pine trees. Or reserve a (complimentary) spot at the fabulous La Muleta beach club.
After Belmond La Residencia (covered above), it’s the next most luxurious place to stay in Deia – at roughly half the cost.
Why stay at Hotel Es Moli?
The private La Muleta beach cove alone is reason enough.
A 25-minute drive away (reached by complimentary hotel shuttle), this fabulous beach club has tiered stone platforms, with about 35 sunbeds tucked under the shade of pine trees and overhanging canopies.
Climb down a ladder into the sea for a swim, take a shower, then have drinks or lunch at its outdoor oceanview restaurant.
We couldn’t get enough of La Muleta during our stay!
Great luxury hotels in Port Alcudia
Grupotel Parc Natural & Spa

Nestled along the Bay of Alcudia, Grupotel Parc Natural & Spa is a classic beachfront resort that’s ideal for a relaxed family holiday.
Rooms and suites
All rooms include a terrace or balcony overlooking the pool, gardens or sea.
Beyond the room

There’s a lot going on here.
A huge 5,180 sq. ft. swimming pool, full spa and wellness area – plus activities like yoga, volleyball and table tennis – keep things lively.
Playa de Muro Beach is also just in front of the hotel, so getting in some beach time couldn’t be easier.
Buses also stop in front of the resort and offer direct routes to Can Picafort and the medieval town of Alcudia. (We rode the public bus several times – it’s a great way to get around in Mallorca if you don’t have a car.)
Why stay at Grupotel Parc Natural & Spa?
As one of Mallorca’s best beach hotels, it’s a great option for a sun, sea and sand vacay, especially for families.
Zafiro Palace Alcudia

You’ll never want for anything at the all-suite, all-inclusive Zafiro Palace Alcudia, set in the popular tourist town of Port Alcudia.
Rooms and suites
Spacious and modern, the bright and contemporary suites here are designed with families in mind. Expect separate living areas, comfy sofas and furnished balconies or terraces.
Some suites dial up the indulgence with swim-up access or private plunge pools.
Beyond the room

With so much going on – bicycle rentals, a kids’ club, fitness classes, watersports and daily entertainment – there’s zero reason to leave.
Oh, and get this – there are 12 pools! One is adult-only.
For downtime, the Zen Spa delivers with a Turkish bath, sauna and whirlpool.
You’ve also got five restaurants (one that’s buffet-only, and four themed ones, from Italian to Japanese) plus several bars.
And let’s not forget you’re only a 10-minute walk from a long sandy beach.
Why stay at Zafiro Palace Alcudia?
With spacious grounds and top-notch facilities for both adults and kids, this is one of Mallorca’s most popular family resorts.
And as it’s all-inclusive, you won’t be stressing over how many Cokes the kids rack up.
Cool luxury hotels in southeast Mallorca
Can Ferrereta

Can Ferrereta is a stylish hideaway tucked into Santanyi – one of Mallorca’s prettiest corners for beach-hopping and exploring charming fishing villages.
A member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, this adults-only boutique hotel effortlessly blends eco-conscious luxury with understate rustic charm.
And it walks the talk. From slim wooden keycards to simple paper-wrapped amenities, the details quietly nod to sustainability.
From the moment we checked in, we had that “Ahhh… we can truly relax here” feeling.
Rooms and suites
It 32 rooms and suites are housed within several buildings (including a restored 17th century mansion), set around a palm-fringed pool.
Our Deluxe Room had soaring ceilings with white wood beams, dark wood floors, side tables with black leather tops and an iron four-poster king bed – it all exuded edgy sophistication.
We particularly appreciated the thoughtful little touches, like welcome glasses of cava at check-in and little leather straps to tie up our laptop cables.
Beyond the room

The vibe here is all about slow soulful living.
Spend your days drifting between the serene pool and quietly luxe spa – or head out to explore Cala Figuera and nearby golden coves just a short drive away.
Why stay at Can Ferrereta?
Can you say perfect? It’s easily one of our most memorable stays in Mallorca! And that pool? Pure bliss.
Ikos Porto Petro

Opened in 2023, Ikos Porto Petro redefines what an all-inclusive can be – polished, peaceful and genuinely indulgent.
Set beside two sandy coves near Mondrago Natural Park, the low-rise layout feels more like a relaxed seaside village than a mega-resort.
Rooms and suites
The 319 rooms, suites and bungalows are airy and soothing, with floor-to-ceiling glass, earthy tones and generous outdoor space – think balconies, gardens or private pools.
Beyond the room
The resort is made for families – little ones are well looked after with a full kids’ club program and evening shows.
You’ll find four pools (plus a kids’ pool), a tranquil adults-only area and two beaches.
Dining is a standout, with Michelin-curated menus, a superb buffet and even “Dine Out” meals at local restaurants included.
Why stay at Ikos Porto Petro?
This deluxe Mallorca resort offers high-end relaxation, with everything – from Tesla day trips to top-tier dining – wrapped into one seamless stay.
Fontsanta Hotel

You’ll find Fontsanta Hotel near Colonia Sant Jordi, on the southern tip of Mallorca – where boats depart for the pristine national park known as Cabrera Island.
Rooms and suites
The 36 rooms in this restored 19th-century estate are all about calm contemporary comfort. Expect a soothing palette of whites and wood, clean lines, lots of natural light and up-to-date tech.
It’s minimalist, but in a good, exhale-and-relax kind of way.
Beyond the room

Days here revolve around nature and nurturing.
You’re close to the gorgeous white sands of Es Trenc beach and laid-back Ses Covetes, while the salt flats of Es Salobrar – often dotted with flamingos – stretch out just beyond the hotel.
Back on site, the thermal spa is the star. Naturally heated waters feed a large thermal pool, steam room, sauna and whirlpools, along with private thermal baths. Add in massages, beauty treatments and even nutrition consultations, and you’ve got full-body pampering covered.
Two outdoor pools and garden hot tubs round things out nicely.
Why stay at Fontsanta?
For a serene 5-star wellness retreat, this stylish hotel is the only one with natural thermal springs in the region.
Other top luxury hotels on Mallorca
Hotel Illa D’Or

Hotel Illa D’Or is the most refined stay in Port Pollensa and attracts a mainly mature clientele.
It’s tucked away on the waterfront at the quieter end of the Pine Walk, a 15-minute walk to the town’s vibrant restaurant scene.
Rooms and suites
Sea-view rooms are the ones to book; some have huge balconies.
That said, the soundproofing isn’t perfect. We could hear our neighbours’ TV, so if you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs.
Beyond the room

No sandy beachfront? No problem! The hotel has a clever concrete platform jutting into the sea, complete with cushioned lounge chairs and umbrellas – a rather chic way to sunbathe.
The buffet breakfast (included) is a treat too, and we loved waking up to cappuccinos, eggs and lemon crepes, taken on the waterfront terrace.

Why stay at Hotel Illa D’Or?
For old-world charm, attentive service and a quiet waterfront setting, it’s the most deluxe place to stay in Puerto Pollensa.
Hotel Son Brull

Nestled in the foothills near the historic town of Pollensa, Hotel Son Brull occupies a beautifully restored 18th-century Jesuit monastery.
We haven’t stayed here yet. But it’s firmly on our “next time in Mallorca” list!
Rooms and suites

The 25 rooms lean modern and minimalist, with concrete flooring, slick bathrooms (with a separate tub and shower) and Bang & Olufsen sound systems.
Comforts come in the form of king-size beds and pillow menus.
Keen to splurge? Two 2-bedroom villas have their own private pools.
Beyond the room

Its restaurant is celebrated – guests rave over the crispy-skin roast suckling pig with purple carrot and the nougat-and- hot-chocolate dessert. There’s also a casual bistro for light meals.
Many ingredients are entirely local, like its home-made jams and the hotel’s own gin and wine.
There’s also a spa with a hammam, yoga studio and heated outdoor pool, and you can use the hotel’s e-bikes to explore.

Why stay at Hotel Son Brull?
Hmmm… We’d stay here for a peaceful design-forward retreat that blends history, gastronomy and understated luxury.
Pleta de Mar, Luxury Hotel by Nature

Set on a quiet stretch of Mallorca’s northeast coast near Canyamel, Pleta de Mar has a delicious sense of space away from the crowds.
Its facilities are impressive, with two saltwater infinity pools, a serene spa, an open-air fitness area and an excellent restaurant, all woven into landscaped Mediterranean gardens.
Rooms and suites

The 30 spacious suites are pared-back and elegant, with wood floors, earthy tones, natural textures and private terraces. Premium suites include sea views and outdoor hot tubs – making it tempting to never leave.
Beyond the room
If you decide to venture out, a leisurely 10-minute walk down the rural road leads to Torre de Canyamel, an historic 13-century watchtower with a small museum and popular restaurant.
Hop in the car, and within 15 minutes, you reach the medieval castle in the town of Capdepera. Or stroll the chic galleries and boutiques in the nearby town of Arta.
Why stay at Pleta de Mar?
This adults-only hideaway is all about understated luxury and nature-led design. If you’re after somewhere peaceful, polished and slightly off-radar, it’s a standout.
Finca Serena

Like Fontsanta and Pleta de Mar, Finca Serena is another luxe hideaway set deep in Mallorca’s countryside.
Spread across 40 peaceful acres, this beautifully restored finca blends rustic charm with understated elegance.
It’s tucked into the quiet Es Pla region, within easy reach of the traditional villages of Algaida and Montuiri – perfect for a little local exploring between lazy days.
Rooms and suites
The 25 rooms and suites feel calm, airy and refined, with neutral tones, natural textures and big windows framing the countryside.
Some come with private terraces or gardens, adding an extra dose of serenity.
Beyond the room

Wellness is an integral part of the place. Lounge by the pool, or participate in yoga, Pilates or Tai Chi sessions. The spa features a sauna, a hammam and a veranda with hammocks.
Dining is a highlight. The on-site Jacaranda restaurant serves seasonal farm-to-table cuisine, much of it sourced from the estate’s own gardens.
You can also sign up for wine and olive oil tastings – a delicious way to connect with the land.
Why stay at Finca Serena?
With its rolling landscapes, thoughtful design and focus on wellness, it’s a peaceful countryside escape that feels both authentic and indulgent.
Portals Hills Boutique Hotel

Say hello to the Mediterranean version of “Miami Beach meets Beverly Hills”! That’s Portals Hills Boutique Hotel – playful, polished and very glam.
Rooms and suites

The 30 suites, dressed in crisp white and gold, channel a sleek Art Deco vibe. Expect sea views, private balconies with loungers, Nespresso machines and all the usual luxe comforts.
For a splurge, choose the penthouse, decked out in FENDI-designed Italian furnishings.
Beyond the room
Rub shoulders with the international yacht set at the hotel’s buzzy pool bar and club. Who knows, you may spot a European celebrity or two!
The hotel is also perfectly placed for exploring.
Portals Nous beach is just 10 minutes away, while glitzy Puerto Portals marina – packed with designer boutiques and upscale restaurants – is nearby too.
Why stay at Portals Hills Boutique Hotel?
It’s the kind of unapologetically luxe hotel where the buffet breakfast includes champagne. And the outdoor infinity pool, surrounded by gardens, is a dream for gazing out over the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean.
You can also claim bragging rights – Portals Hills is one of the most expensive Mallorca hotels.
