Most romantic Maui hotel? Quick picks
Most romantic hotels in Maui? 3 quick picks
Here are three favorite standouts that suit different travel styles:
- Lovely adults-only boutique gem: Hotel Wailea (Wailea)
- Grand luxury splurge: Four Seasons (Wailea) or Ritz-Carlton (Kapalua)
- Romantic and affordable B&B: Ho’olio House (Ka’anapali)
3 Tips for choosing the perfect Maui honeymoon hotel
1) Features

When planning your Hawaiian island vacation, make a list of your must-have hotel features and put them in order of importance.
Do you want a beachfront hotel?
Can you live without an ocean view?
What about an adults-only place?
How far can the hotel be from the Kahului Airport?
Make your list and be realistic. The more must-haves on your list, the more expensive the hotel will be.
2) Budget
If this is your first Hawaii trip, be aware that Maui is expensive. There’s just no getting around this fact.
Decide on your budget. Are you going all out, or did your wedding leave you a bit tapped out?
You don’t want to be tempted to stay at a place you might not be able to afford.
Make this decision before you start your research. That way, you won’t overstretch only to have regrets later.
3) Location
Choose a location.
Do you want to stay in coveted Wailea in the south? Do the Kapalua or Ka’anapali resorts on West Maui make more sense?
Or would you prefer to get off the beaten path?
There are many great places to stay on Maui.
Of course, if you never plan on leaving the hotel, then location doesn’t matter.
But if you want to adventure around Maui, being off-the-beaten path means paying for transportation everywhere you go, which can drastically add to the honeymoon budget.
Best honeymoon hotels in Maui
1) Hotel Wailea
- Rating: 9.3 out of 10 stars

Talk about a couples’ paradise!
Hotel Wailea is an intimate 5-star hotel just for adults, snuggled into the tropical hillside 300 feet above the sea.
Its hillside vantage point offers 180 degree views of the azure ocean, breathtaking gardens and cascading waterfalls below.
Why you’ll love these rooms!

Unlike most of the other Maui hotels on this list, this resort is small.
With only 72 suites spread out over 15 acres, you may never see another soul – perfect for a romantic honeymoon escape!
The large 720 sq. ft. suites have deep soaking tubs, plush robes and private lanais. Sip champagne while nibbling on a local Hawaiian fruit platter on your balcony overlooking the ocean.
Who’s it for?
Honeymooners looking for an adult-only experience.
Romantic highlights
Indulge a personalized in-suite spa treatment and let them transform your suite into a spa getaway.
Choose your fave exfoliating body polish and then float away during a couple’s Lomi Lomi massage. Finish with a coconut milk bath, infused with Hawaiian honey.
Also dine inside a private candlelit treehouse with unobstructed views of the ocean and treetops.

If you’re there during winter, you might spot breaching whales as you savor your 7-course meal (with wine pairings) from an award-winning chef.
If you’re not married yet, the Hotel Wailea Treehouse is a perfect spot for a proposal.
2) Fairmont Kea Lani
- Rating: 8.7 out of 10 stars

The Fairmont brand has always been known for its luxury, and the Kea Lani location is no different.
Even though it’s in the well-heeled tourist area of Wailea, it’s the only hotel on 22 lush acres of beachfront. As a result, it’s quite secluded and one of the best Maui honeymoon resorts.
The snorkeling at Polo Beach in front of the Kea Lanai is good (sea turtles hang out here!) and less crowded than elsewhere in Wailea. So bring snorkeling gear when packing for your Maui trip.
Why you’ll love these rooms!
Even the smallest rooms at the Fairmont Kea Lani are 860 sq. ft.
They’re actually all suites, with microwaves and mini-fridges (which we loved for those times when we just wanted a simple meal or snack, rather than eating out).
They also come with oversize lanais large enough for dining and lounging. Each room has a marble bathroom with a separate soaking tub and rain shower too.
All suites have been “artfully redesigned” and are fresh and new in feel.
The dark woods, basket lights (resembling fish traps used by ancient Hawaiians) and tropical vibes of the décor add to the Hawaiian ambience.

If you splurge on a villa, you’ll have your own plunge pool for nighttime skinny dipping. (You can’t beat hotels with private pools for their wow factor!)
Who’s it for?
The Kea Lani is the perfect choice for couples who want to be in the heart of it all but still feel secluded.
Romantic highlights
Go for the Grand Romance Package for a 5-night stay in a luxury suite or villa.
You get a Moet & Chandon Champagne welcome gift, daily breakfast for two, a private 4-course dinner (with wine) under the stars by the adult pool and a private poolside cabana for a day.
Add in the Honeymooner Spa package, which is 90 minutes of bliss.
Start with side-by-side citrus body scrubs, followed by a massage, a mask made of local organic ingredients and a sugarcane foot scrub.
3) Four Seasons Resort Maui
- Rating: 9.3 out of 10 stars

Four Seasons is synonymous with luxury, and since there are two staff members per guest at this hotel, you’ll never have to lift a finger.
From the resort’s unpacking service and Evian spritzes to their ocean-view massage huts and adults-only pool, honeymooners will want for nothing.
If shopping is your idea of romance, there’s a free shuttle to the Shops at Wailea so you can stock up on all your Hawaiian souvenirs.
Simply put, the Four Seasons Maui is one of the most lavish and romantic hotels in Maui.
(It’s also a celebrity getaway. On a beach stroll, we once passed Arnold Schwarzenegger in front of the Four Seasons.)
Why you’ll love these rooms!

The neutral-colored rooms have navy accents, deep soaking tubs and large private lanais. The massive bathroom makes getting ready for your hot date night a breeze.
Sliding glass doors open out to your lanai, allowing ocean breezes to remind you why you chose Hawaii for your honeymoon.
Who’s it for?
Honeymooners who want their needs met before they realize they even have them will be tickled here. (And it’s best for honeymooners who are happy to pay for the utmost in luxury.)
Romantic highlights
You can’t dream too big for the Four Seasons’ concierges.
Hop in their Porsche Roadster and head out for a gourmet picnic in a secluded location.
Or have them book you a couples massage in the open-air hale while listening to waves lap the shore below?
Or how about a consultation with the chef for a private dinner in a secret spot overlooking the beach?
Cost
Splurge (the prices are steep, but you get what you pay for at this luxury Maui resort)
Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea: Check rates and availability
4) Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa
- Rating: 8.9 out of 10 stars

The newly reimagined Hyatt is located on 40 acres of paradise known as Ka’anapali Beach.
The hotel offers hula lessons, lei-making (and other cultural) classes and luaus.
But the cherry on top of the paradisical cake is six freeform pools with waterfalls overlooking the ocean. Plus, with several onsite restaurants, you’ll never need to leave the property.
The only downside is that Ka’anapali Beach is eroded right in front of the Hyatt, so you only have a sliver of sand to walk on. (But you can walk next door to Hanakao’o Beach Park and snorkel with the sea turtles there!)
Why you’ll love these rooms!
All rooms were completely renovated in 2021 and have private lanais with glass railings. Your views are unobstructed.
Earth tones and rich woods give the modern rooms a Hawaiian Islands vibe.
If you opt for a suite, you’ll get two lanais. And when it comes to honeymoon views, two are always better than one!
Who’s it for?
This is the ideal hotel for honeymooners who love incredible pools – and wildlife. At 9:30 every morning, resident African black-footed penguins come out for a feed.
If penguins aren’t your thing, there are swans, flamingos, rescued parrots and other exotic birds on site.

Romantic highlights
The Hyatt Regency was named the world’s top hotel for stargazing, so make sure you check out their Tour of the Stars program.
What’s more romantic than stargazing with your lover?
Also attend a traditional luau featuring a Samoan fire knife dance and a plated feast at your private candlelit dining table.
5) Ho’oilo House
- Rating: 9.5 out of 10

Ho’oilo House is an upscale and intimate bed-and-breakfast for adults.
Set in the West Maui Mountains, it’s a few minutes away from Ka’anapali Beach.
It’s touted as Maui’s most luxurious B&B.
And you can feel good about staying here too.
As socially responsible hotel proprietors, the B&B owners make donations to various wildlife companies for every night you stay in certain rooms. (Stay in the Kohola and Honu rooms, for example, and a donation goes to Maui’s Pacific Whale Foundation.)
You’ll probably want to rent a car if bedding down at Ho’oilo House, as it’s not walking distance to restaurants and beaches. (Mind you, Uber or Lyft is convenient.)
Why you’ll love these rooms!
For a start, there are only six rooms, so it’ll feel quaint and homey staying here. And with breezy passageways between them, the rooms feel more like private bungalows.
Each room is designed differently but pays homage to Hawaiian nature and all its gifts.
They’re full of light and have handcrafted wooden furniture. The Wailele room has a Chinese “Chow” bed with a headboard made from an antique carved door.
And all rooms have private outdoor showers, so you can pretend you’re living in the middle of a rainforest. Not a bad way to spend an amorous afternoon!
Each bathroom has a unique tub too; one has a hammered copper bathtub.
Only a few rooms have ocean views, so if that’s important, call to see what’s available.
Who’s it for?

Ho’oilo House is the best place to stay in Maui for couples who prefer a quiet B&B over a large resort. (The grounds include a meditation gazebo, in addition to a pool.)
Romantic highlights
Staying here is like having your own private home in Maui.
And if you book the Ultimate R&R Package (relaxation and romance), you’ll start the afternoon with side-by-side (in room) signature spa treatments.
From there, you move on to a private dinner on your lanai made by one of the island’s top chefs.
Add some dark chocolate-covered strawberries and bubbly, and no romantic stone has been left unturned!
6) Grand Wailea
- Rating: 8.3 out of 10 stars

Set on 40 acres of prime oceanfront property, the massive Grand Wailea is indeed grand!
It’s three hotels in one.
The Grand Wailea Signature rooms and suites offer the first tier of luxury in the thick of all the pools and restaurants.
The Napua Club is an exclusive boutique hotel within the resort grounds and a step up in indulgence.
In the private Club lounge, you can take advantage of complimentary perks like continental breakfast and, from 4 pm to 7 pm, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and desserts.
And the Ho’Olei Villas offer top-of-the-line extravagance from private ocean view villas.
Why you’ll love these rooms!
Rooms and suites are bright and airy, with Waldorf Astoria branded linens. The oversized tub is perfect for those romantic flower-petal-strewn baths.
With lanais, plush bathrobes and a Keurig coffee maker, you might be hard-pressed to leave.
Who’s it for?

This Wailea resort is paradise for couples who want to choose their level of luxury within the Waldorf Astoria brand and have it all at their fingertips.
We’re talking nine pools, waterslides, a lazy river, onsite scuba diving lessons, four restaurants, luaus and tours of the resort’s $30 million art collection. Whew!
Romantic highlights

Head to the Kilolani Spa, Hawaii’s largest spa (50,000 sq. feet), one Maui’s most gorgeous spas.
Enjoy side-by-side services in a private spa room.
Check out sumptuous treatments like whipped honey and macadamia oil massages and bee propolis face masks. Get pampered from head to toe.
7) Hana-Maui Resort, a Destination by Hyatt Residence
- Rating: 8.6 out of 10 stars

The Hana-Maui Resort (formerly the Travaasa Hana) is a serene hideaway along the coastal cliffs of the east coast.
It’s the perfect place to base yourself if you and your babe want to enjoy the Road to Hana (the most scenic drive in Maui), go on secluded hikes and dive into the best waterfalls on Maui.
(And for those inquiring minds out there who like adding to their knowledge bank of cool Hawaii facts, you’ll be interested to know that the Hana Highway has over a whopping 600 hairpin turns and some 59 bridges.)
The setting alone makes the Hana-Maui one of the most romantic Maui hotels. It offers multiple fairy-tale backdrops for special occasions and, at the very least, for stealing a kiss.
But… And this is an important “but.”
It’s probably not the best place to stay for your entire honeymoon. It’s quite a bit more rustic and not as luxurious as most of the others in our round-up of honeymoon Maui hotels.
We have, however, stayed here and basked in its stunning location.
Why you’ll love these rooms!
There are only 74 rustic rooms spread across 66 lush tropical acres. Even at full capacity, it’ll feel like you have the place to yourself.
Some rooms have a private hot tub, and many have no phones, alarm clocks, TVs or radios to interrupt and spoil your honeymoon mood.
All the rooms have private lanais, and we recommend the bungalows (updated) vs. the rooms (not yet updated).

Who’s it for?
This one’s easy. It suits honeymooners who love the road less traveled – and those who want to hang out in Hana for a few days.
Romantic highlights
The concierge can set up a tour of Hawaiian culinary delicacies and wine tasting.
After your return, head straight to the ocean-view spa and take advantage of the indoor-outdoor showers, eucalyptus steam room, hot and cold plunge pools and sauna.
Then get pampered with traditional Hawaiian healing treatments using all local ingredients.
8) The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua
- Rating: 9 out of 10 stars

The Ritz Carlton is definitely one of the most romantic resorts in Maui, and we love it there.
At the AAA Five-Diamond Ritz Carlton, it’s all about the little touches – like the cards with Hawaiian mo’olelo stories placed on your pillow at nightly turndown service.
The 5-star property is situated on 54 areas of ocean-front land. There are miles of hiking trails, six golden sand beaches, tennis courts and championship golf courses to explore.
The six onsite restaurants feature ingredients from their sustainable organic garden.
Why you’ll love these rooms!
All 466 newly reimagined rooms and suites have indoor and outdoor sitting areas. They feature dark hardwood floors, oversized soaking tubs and outdoor showers.
Artwork in the rooms is created by local artists. And floor-to-ceiling windows allow the beautiful Hawaiian sunshine to stream in.
You’ll feel like you’re in the lap of luxury from the moment you walk in and see the azure ocean from the bed.
Who’s it for?

Honeymooners and couples who love golf should tee off their Maui stay here.
The Ritz-Carlton is right by two championship golf courses, so you have your choice of where to hit the links.
With a pro-challenging layout, the recently renovated Plantation Course has welcomed Tiger Woods, Justin Leonard and other golf greats.
The Bay Course (designed by Arnold Palmer and Frances Duane) is more player friendly – and it has a spectacular 17th hole that plays over the ocean.
Romantic highlights
If, for you, romance equals adventure, then hop in a helicopter and fly over the Haleakala Crater, lush rainforests and cascading waterfalls.
If you prefer to stay on land, go horseback riding through pineapple fields in the Kapalua resort area.
Or better yet, hop on board a private yacht for an afternoon of snorkeling and whale watching (in season). Then stay on for a sumptuous picnic dinner.
It can all be booked at the Ritz-Carlton.
Cost
Splurge (when you want the best of the best and don’t mind paying for it)
Ritz-Carlton Kapalua: Check rates and availability
9) Inn at Mama’s Fish House
- Rating: 8.5 out of 10 stars

Don’t let the name fool you. The Inn at Mama’s Fish House is luxury with an old-world Polynesian charm.
It also happens to be known for its great restaurant, Mama’s Fish House (where the freshest of fish is the highlight, naturally).
Tropical and romantic, the Inn at Mama’s Fish House has all the modern amenities of the big resorts.
Yet, it’s a world away. It’s nestled in a coconut grove on a tiny sliver of secluded beach on Maui’s north shore.
Hammocks for two hang from the palm trees in between its 12 cottages.
Why you’ll love these rooms!
All the rooms are different, but they feature Polynesian décor with unique local woodwork and tropical flowers strewn everywhere.
The daily fruit bowl and banana bread are welcome morning treats to savor on your private lanai as the ocean breezes tickle your cheeks.
Some rooms have large whirlpool tubs. Others have oversized 6-head showers plus full kitchens with Wolf and Subzero appliances and All-Clad cookware.
Who’s it for?
The Inn at Mama’s Fish House is one of the best hotels in Maui for couples who want a quiet paradise of their own, away from the masses.
Romantic highlights
Have the Inn set up a tour of the lavender fields nearby.
They can also organize a private sunrise hike up Mt. Haleakala for that perfect honeymoon photo-op.
Or book your own private guided hike in Haleakala Crater (two short hikes on both sides of the mountain, plus snacks).
10) Andaz Maui
- Rating: 8.3 out of 10 stars

The newest property on our list of the best Maui honeymoon hotels, the Andaz Maui is part of the Hyatt family of resorts.
It’s a luxury hotel situated on 15 beachfront acres in the Wailea area. Mokapu Beach, right in front, is a gorgeous golden sand beach.
And with three infinity pools, one lagoon pool and one adult pool to choose from, you’ll have no problem finding your Zen.
The design is contemporary, but the Andaz still feels beachy and laid-back, especially because it’s a pet-friendly hotel.
And if that’s not enough, Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto’s restaurant serves superb sushi from Maui’s freshest local fish.
Why you’ll love these rooms!
Each room has a private lanai to let you indulge in all the island views.
The rooms also have rain showers big enough for two and complimentary minibars with snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.
If you opt for a luxurious villa – it’s your honeymoon after all! – you’ll have a private plunge pool or hot tub for those starry-eyed nights.
Who’s it for?
If you don’t dare leave your furry four-legged friend behind, the Andaz Maui has got you covered.
Romantic highlights
Indulge in the 6-hour “Unite” Spa Journey in their Awili Spa couples suite – complete with a soaking tub, rain shower and ocean views.
First, you’ll have an apothecary blending experience to customize your products. Then you’ll have a scalp treatment, bath ritual, massage and lunch with a glass of bubbly and a pedicure.
It’s a full day of honeymoon bliss!
Also, their Feast at Mokapu luxury luau is top-notch and ideal for couples. (Hand-crafted cocktails, anyone?)
11) Paia Inn
- Rating: 8 out of 10 stars

If you’re wondering where to stay in Maui for couples that’s wallet-friendly, consider the Paia Inn.
With a romantic Bali vibe, Paia Inn is your boho chic home-away-from-home.
It’s located on a beautiful beach in the north of the island, away from the crowds, in a surf town of the same name.
The hotel is steps away from the cute town center – plus it’s right by a 3-mile stretch of white sand beach – so you have the best of both worlds.
To avoid sand in your bikini, you can lounge on the lush lawn overlooking the beach.
Why you’ll love these rooms!

Every room is different, but they all have travertine bathrooms and bamboo floors.
Go for a suite, not one of the smaller rooms (some of which have street views and a little traffic noise).
The best part is that you’re soooo close to the beach, ideal for your stargazing midnight strolls.
Who’s it for?
You’ll feel more like locals here than you will at the 5-star resorts in Wailea or Kapalua. And the price tag is much easier on the budget.
Appealing? Then the Paia Inn has a bed for you.
Romantic highlights
Take a sunset cruise on a sailing catamaran, an activity booked through the hotel.
Enjoy drinks as the sun goes down while you sail along Maui’s scenic coast. Once you moor in a sheltered cove, you’ll feast on a mouthwatering 4-course meal.
After dinner, the starlight cruise continues with cocktails.
Cost
Very affordable (especially when compared to the others on this list of best hotels on Maui for couples)
Paia Inn: Check rates and availability
12) Montage Kapalua Bay
- Rating: 8 out of 10 stars

The Montage Kapalua is on every list of the best honeymoon resorts in Maui – and for good reason.
Hugging the picturesque waters of Namalu Bay on 24 acres of paradise, it’s somewhat of an island oasis.
Located within the Kapalua resort area (along with #9 The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua), the property’s landscaped grounds are home to koi ponds, an infinity pool and a knock-out fitness center.
If you go snorkeling at the beach, chances are good you’ll spot sea turtles.
And the rooms aren’t just mere rooms. All 50 rooms are residence-style homes.
Each home has a separate living and dining room, laundry and full kitchen. The smallest one-bedroom starts at 1,250 sq. ft.
Why you’ll love these rooms!
What’s not to love in your fully appointed residence with your own private lanai, a bathtub big enough for two and a walk-in closet!
They’re totally luxurious and bigger than many condos in Hawaii.
Who’s it for?

The Montage Kapalua is one of the absolute best places to stay in Maui for couples and honeymooners who want to spend their time in a fully appointed home vs. a hotel room – and don’t mind robbing the bank to do so.
Romantic highlights
Award-winning Chef Riko can customize a fine dining degustation style menu with wine pairing in the comfort of your own residence. You can help him cook, or sit back and enjoy the live band serenading you.
If you fancy bubbles at sunset, head to the Champagne Hale at Cliff House for the best views in the resort (along with a spot of whale watching in winter).
Every Saturday night, the Montage also shows a movie under the stars by the pool. So, grab a bottle of bubbly, put on your swimmers and chill out with your honey under the night sky.
The Montage is the best hotel in Maui for a honeymoon where you’ll spare no expense.
13) Wailea Beach Resort – Marriott, Maui
- Rating: 8.5 out of 10 stars

The allure of this sprawling upscale 547-room oceanfront resort in Wailea extends to its five pools, including two adult-only infinity pools. One, the Maluhia Pool, has overwater cabanas – a worthy splurge for newlyweds.
There’s no swimming beach right in front of the property, but you can get chairs and umbrellas from the concierge to use at Wailea Beach a short walk away.
Its 9,000 sq. ft Mandara Spa with 12 treatment rooms (including four for couples) promises pampering and relaxation, while the free weekly fitness classes ensure that newlyweds can stay active in paradise.
You’re also sure to love the onsite Te Au Moana luau – it’s highly rated!
Why you’ll love these rooms!
Designed with a minimalist contemporary flair, rooms feature a neutral palette, dark wood headboards for the beds and patios or balconies garden or ocean views.
They’re pleasant enough. But most are “generic Marriott” in feel and lack local Hawaiian charm.
But the new ground floor Sundeck collection of rooms and suites – with their extra outdoor living space – are honeymoon worthy!
The Sundeck Garden Oasis Rooms, for example, have private expansive lanais enclosed by lava rock walls. With an outdoor bathtub, shower, firepit and cozy loveseat for two, they’re the ultimate outdoor love nest for two!

Who’s it for?
This is the best hotel in Maui for couples who want to stay in romantic Wailea at a lower price point than other luxury Maui hotels – and who’d prefer to spend their money on experiences rather than rooms.
Romantic highlights

Ignite romance with a day at the resort’s exclusive new adults-only Olakino pool, with luxury cabanas and in-water chaises.
It’s a wellness sanctuary – healthy poolside treats include tuna sashimi and frozen dark-chocolate sea salt banana bites. Also enjoy poolside acupuncture and sunrise yoga flows here.
Book one of the resort’s Maui honeymoon packages to get a full-day’s access to Olakino.
Depending on the package, they’ll also include a private candlelit dinner in a floating cabana and other romantic perks.
14) Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa
- Rating: 8.2 out of 10 stars

If you’re not snorkeling with sea turtles by Black Rock right in front of the hotel, then hanging out at the Sheraton’s 142-yard lagoon-style pool is a choice place to spend your honeymoon.
It has waterfalls, lava rock waterways, bridges and a small waterslide.
Embracing Ka’anapali Beach, the resort’s manicured grounds are gorgeous to walk through while listening to waves crash on the shore.
And don’t miss the cliff diving! Since 1963, every day at sunset, the iconic cliff diving ceremony takes place to pay homage to the Hawaiian gods.
Why you’ll love these rooms!
Most of the 4-star resort’s 508 newly renovated rooms and suites have breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, Lanai and Molokai. Enjoy a bottle of bubbly from the lanai as you watch the sun dip into the ocean.
Who’s it for?
Couples who want luxury without stuffiness.

Romantic highlights
Dining under the stars is the perfect way to spend an intimate evening.
Choose from a table set in a lush tropical garden beside a slowly cascading waterfall or a private beachfront dinner bungalow.
You’ll get a personal butler serving you a 4- to 5-course menu, featuring Hawaii-inspired foods like filet, fresh fish and decadent desserts.
Another highlight: After a day in the sun, grab a S’mores kit and sit with your honey at the resort’s firepit. What’s better than having dessert with your own hot dish?
15) Royal Lahaina Resort
- Rating: 8 out of 10 stars

The Royal Lahaina Resort is a beachfront oasis on the golden sands of Ka’anapali Beach with 441 rooms and suites.
Since the Lahaina fire, it’s been housing displaced Lahaina residents. The resort will reopen to the public on May 31, 2024.
It’s home to Maui’s longest-running ocean-front luau (Myths of Maui) – which has resumed. The resort is a place to learn about the vibrant and colorful Polynesian culture.
You can choose from rooms in the two-story beach cottages or in the Lahaina Kai Tower, but we recommended the beach cottages. They’re currently being renovated.
The Tower rooms have also been renovated and have ocean views.
But even the non-renovated beach cottage rooms are cute.
We had a “run-of-the-house” cottage room facing the golf course on our most recent visit to Maui. It had a retro 60s feel, with white shutters and a huge bathroom featuring an oversized white tile tub.
Sure, the room could do with a little updating. But it was super clean and comfortable.

Tip: Cottages D and E are furthest away from the tower and closest to the ocean.
Also, if you get a ground floor cottage room, ask for an end room. As the cottages are pyramidal-shaped, the ground floor end units don’t have a room above them, and they have additional windows at the end as well as facing the lanai.
As for pools, drink your handcrafted cocktail in one of the three pools or hot tubs.
Why you’ll love these rooms!

The rooms and suites pay homage to the island. With custom teak furnishings and local artwork, the neutral-colored rooms take a back seat to the ocean view from your private lanai.
After you spend the day at the spa, snuggle away in the feather top mattress and Egyptian cotton sheets.
Who’s it for?
This is one of the best Maui resorts for couples who want affordable luxury and don’t care about a name brand.
Romantic highlights
Have the concierge set up a romantic 4-course dinner sail or stargazing cruise.
And get a souvenir honeymoon portrait taken by a professional photographer at a stunning secret location at the resort.
Maui’s top honeymoon hotels: Bottom line

The island of Maui is one of the best honeymoon destinations in the world. With dreamy hotels, it promises a truly romantic escape.
For the ultimate experience (and especially if this is your first visit), we suggest splitting your time between two of the above honeymoon hotels.
A great combo? A hotel in Kapalua (or the north Maui area) and a hotel in Wailea.
This way, you’ll discover more of the island and enjoy the full spectrum of romantic escapades. It’s a recipe for an unforgettable Hawaii honeymoon!
