All over Vancouver, cherry blossoms are starting to burst like pink and white popcorn. Our city has some 40,000 cherry trees.
And each spring they usher in the promise of sunny skies and T-shirt temps.
There’s even an annual Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival to celebrate the blooming of the lovely trees – with art classes, picnics, “cherry jam” music sessions, “blossom bike rides,” tea ceremonies and tree talks and walks. This year’s festival takes place April 3 to 28.
We love it when the city is so pretty in pink…
