Now, this is really shameless self-promotion. (So forgive us, but who else will do it?)

We’ve just been profiled on Johnny Jet Travel Style! (Thanks Johnny!)

If you want to learn a little more about us – our favorite international city, our dream destination, our most embarrassing travel moments – head on over to Johnny’s site and read Travel Style: Janice and George Mucalov.

Johnny Jet Travel Style - Janice and George Mucalov

Not familiar with Johnny Jet?

His real name is John DiScala. He travels some 150,000 miles and visits 20 countries a year. And his travel website/blog – packed with money-saving tips, contests, travel news and more – is immensely popular.

He’s also been written up or quoted in a long list of heavy-hitting publications, including NBC News, Forbes, Washington Post, Yahoo Travel, Shermans Travel, USA Today, Los Angeles Times (quite the inspirational resume!).

We met Johnny’s brother (like us, also trained as a lawyer) several years ago on a press trip hosted by the Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit. (Coincidentally, we returned a few days ago from a trip to the Riviera Maya, where we stayed at the fabulous Grand Velas Riviera Maya. The photo of us above was taken in a cenote in the Riviera Maya – can you say snorkeling among stalactites and stalagmites in a magical underground river system?)

Anyway, bookmark Johnny’s site when planning your next trip. And check out some of the other frequent fliers Johnny has profiled on Johnny Jet Travel Style, like fellow travel writers and bloggers Irene Levine, David and Veronica JamesSofie Couwenbergh, Claudia LaroyeDebbra Dunning Brouillette and Elizabeth Hansen.

Happy travels!

Sand In My Suitcase

  1. Hey, Janice and George – Congrats on being featured. His site is excellent. And by the way, my husband and I stayed at Grand Velas on the Riviera Maya last year – small world. (And a fabulous resort, no?)

    1. Author

Yes, a fab resort! We’re writing about it for TravelAge West magazine. (And we read your post too – you stayed in the Zen section, so you got to be by the lily pads and jungle garden pool out there. Nice!)

  2. Great profile! You and George have been just about everywhere! Hope to meet up again someday as we did in Kauai… I love the collage pic above that show some of your travels. Thanks for the link to my TravelStyle on JohnnyJet.com. I met Johnny on my first press trip to Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora, before he was married. :)

Have a comment? We'd love to hear from you...
